You simply let one of our representatives know that you would like to adopt the courseware.

How much does the technical support and installation cost?

Absolutely nothing. Upon adopting a courseware product for at least one section, we provide:

FREE online Course Management System (WebCMS) and complete testing system (WebTest)
FREE technical support for both professors and students
FREE implementation (training sessions and installation)
FREE upgrades (for school and students)

What’s the catch?

There is no catch.

There are no administrative fees. We want to make the adoption of our courseware as easy as possible, just as if you were adopting a textbook. The student purchases the required materials in the book store and that’s it!
There is no obligation. If you decide to stop using our courseware at any time, you may do so and there is no penalty. We feel confident that you and your students will enjoy the courseware and find it beneficial.
There is no minimum enrollment to adopt. You just need to adopt the courseware for at least one course, regardless of the number of students in the course.
There are no site licenses. We sell individual lifetime licenses to students.

Do you offer free implementation workshops upon adoption?

Yes. We will come to your school at your convenience and provide training sessions (one-on-one or as a group) as well as perform the courseware installation.

Is your courseware web-based?

No. Students do not have to rely on the internet to complete their homework. HLS courseware is CD-based and can be installed on any computer. Students go online only to register their homework completion codes to get credit in your gradebook (WebCMS).

Can my students use the HLS courseware at home?

Yes. Students can work at home and send their results to you via the Internet.

What platforms are supported?

Microsoft® Windows 2000, XP, and Vista.

Do we have to host the courseware on our server?

No. We host your online gradebook (WebCMS) on our servers. The courseware itself is installed locally on computers at your school.

Can my students use their HLS courseware after the course is over?

Yes. The access code that each student receives to gain access to the courseware never expires. If a student needs to retake the course or wants to use the courseware after the course is over, they do not have to purchase it again.

Is HLS integrated with a particular textbook?

Yes. We offer a textbook to accompany our courseware. However, you may adopt our courseware without our textbook if you would like. We sell the textbook and courseware as a bundled package and we sell them individually. We recommend adopting our textbook because our textbook and courseware are directly correlated. In addition, students get a nice cost savings if you adopt our textbook and courseware as a package.

How do schools use your courseware?

If I adopt your HLS courseware, how do I manage my students’ progress?

If I adopt your HLS courseware, do I receive a product that will allow me to give tests?

Yes. Upon adopting our courseware for at least one section, we provide your school with WebTest (our online testing system.) This software allows you to create unique tests and quizzes for your students to take online or on paper. Simply choose the topics you wish to include, and WebTest generates a set of problems that can be reordered, randomized, assigned varying point values or replaced with new problems (even your own).
